I attended MSU-Bottineau, North Dakota and Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Minot State University. My North Dakota teaching license is from grades one to eight. My Minnesota teaching license is grades one to six.
I am in my second year of teaching at Noble and will be teaching second grade this year. I taught first grade last year and will be looping with my class. I taught for five years in North Dakota after college. When I moved to St. Paul, I subbed in many schools before working at Noble.
Reason for becoming a Teacher:
I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was a first grader! My first grade teacher showed our class a love of learning and being kind. I have had many other teachers’ positively impact my learning experience. I enjoyed being a student and love being a teacher even more.
Interesting Facts and Hobbies:
I am a prairie girl! I grew up on a farm in rural North Dakota. I love going back home! My husband and I moved to St. Paul in 2008 so he could pursue his law degree. My husband Chad and I built a home in Delano two years ago. Together we enjoy brunching, hiking, watching NFL, and traveling to new places. Our next vacation plans include Hawaii and Thailand. I love to run, bike, read, bake, eat, spend time with family and of course teach!
