Brenda Carr

I attended MSU-Bottineau, North Dakota and Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Minot State University. My Minnesota teaching license is grades one to six.

I am in my fourth year of teaching at Noble and will be teaching first grade this year. This will be my second time teaching first grade at Noble. I also taught second grade for two years here. I taught for five years in North Dakota after college. When I moved to St. Paul, I did long-term subbing before working at Noble.

Reason for becoming a Teacher:

I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was a first grader! My first grade teacher showed our class a love of learning and being kind. I have had many other teachers positively impact my learning experience. I enjoyed being a student and love being a teacher even more.

Interesting Facts and Hobbies:

I am a country girl! I grew up on a farm in rural North Dakota. I love going back home to the farm! My husband and I moved to St. Paul in 2008 so he could pursue his law degree. My husband Chad and I built a home in Delano four years ago. Together we enjoy hiking, watching NFL, and traveling to new places. I love to run, bike, read, cook, bake, eat, spend time with family and of course teach! An interesting fact about me is that I am an introvert. I need a lot of alone time to reenergize myself.
