Reasons for becoming a teacher
I majored in Biology for my undergrad and was not planning to be a teacher. My interest in becoming a teacher only started after I graduated when I volunteered at an elementary school. I found that I love talking and interacting with young kids.  I was able to observe a lot of great teaching and has since made me want to learn the magic that happens in the classroom.  My experience also took me to see the teaching methods on the other side of the world, Thailand. Where they taught their students to have ownership of their school by looking after and cleaning up after themselves.  Being a teacher is such a privilege and challenge, to see a person change and grow over time and to think that I had an impact on that growth is truly humbling and that's why I became a teacher.
Interesting Facts and Hobbies:

I love to travel and learn about other cultures, reflect, and realize how blessed and privileged I am.  I’ve traveled throughout Thailand as well as Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea.  I can also speak Thai.
