Even before I graduated in 2004 with a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) degree, I have been teaching ESL in many different settings. Currently, I am taking MAESL classes at Hamline University. I received my K-12 ESL license this winter.

I taught English in Romania and Serbia for a short time in 2003; from 2004-2007 I was a citizenship instructor and prepared students for their naturalization tests; and from 2007-2012 I taught workplace English to adult ESL students in St. Paul. I am very excited for my first year at Noble Academy.

Reason for becoming a Teacher:

A former teacher changed my life because she challenged me to consider different perspectives. Similarly, I love watching students think about and discover new possibilities and solutions. I want to help young students get prepared for higher education and their future beyond school.

Interesting Facts and Hobbies:

I have two dogs (George and Marlin) and a cat (Sushi). My husband and I recently celebrated 8 years of marriage. I love to read and my favorite movie is The Descendants.
