I attended the University of Wyoming for my undergraduate degree. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I have since attended Hamline University where I received my Minnesota Education Licensure and am currently pursuing my Masters in K-6 Education with an English Language focus.
Over the past few years I have had the chance to gain a broad spectrum of educational experience. I have worked several years in Special Education, gaining experience in Cognitive and Behavioral issues. I have also had the outstanding opportunity to work outside of the United States and gain a unique perspective in English Language Learners.
Reason for becoming a Teacher:
Several years ago, I decided I wanted to have a career where I was able to make a positive impact on people and community. I have since become more passionate about teaching Elementary Education, as I learn how to have a fun, safe and productive learning environment. This has made me see how engaged students can become and how they can transition into lifelong learners.
