Reason for becoming a Teacher:
When I was a 7th grader, I started babysitting for the children in my neighborhood. I always brought along my “Babysitting Kit” filled with colored paper, crayons, yarn, tape and glue and did all sorts of projects with the kids. I soon realized it was so much fun working with kids that I decided to become a teacher. I love how children are curious, honest and excited to learn.
Interesting Facts and Hobbies:
I had the opportunity to teach in Nairobi, Kenya for 5 years. With the many game parks in Kenya, I’ve seen giraffe, zebras, gazelles, elephants, cheetahs, elephants, wildebeests, monkeys, hippos, and leopards--all in the wild!
