I went to the University of WI-River Falls in River Falls, Wisconsin.  I graduated with a degree in elementary education.   I then attended the University of MN to obtain my certification in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders and Specific Learning Disabilities.

I started out my career in the Roseville school district and have worked in suburban and inner- city school districts in Minnesota, working with elementary and middle school students. This is my second year now at Nobe and  I am excited to be here!  The staff, students and parents are great!

Reason for becoming a Teacher:

I had several reasons for becoming a teacher.  One was my enjoyment working with children when I was young and would babysit in the neighborhood.  Also, my mother was a special education teacher when I was growing up and I could tell she loved her job .  My two aunts were also in the education field.   Lastly, I love seeing the excitement children show when they experience success, and watching their confidence grow.

Interesting Facts and Hobbies:

I live with my husband in Roseville, MN and our fluffy, gray cat.   I have two daughters, Lauren and Megan, ages 23 and 25.  I enjoy reading, being out in nature, jogging and spending time with family and friends.  About 10 years ago, I ran the Twin Cities marathon!  It was a lot of work, but it felt good to accomplish it!
