On January 13, 2015, the vibrant and enthusiastic classrooms of Noble Academy buzzed with excitement as the West Metro Watershed Alliance led an insightful educational session. Fourth-grade scholars eagerly gathered to dive into the fascinating world of the water cycle—a cornerstone of environmental science that connects our planet's systems. The lesson was expertly guided by Ms. Joanna Sorenson, whose dynamic teaching style brought the subject to life.

With a blend of engaging activities and interactive discussions, she captivated the young minds, inviting them to explore the intricate stages of the water cycle, from evaporation to precipitation, and ultimately, to collection. As the students participated in hands-on experiments and lively conversations, they began to grasp the critical importance of water in sustaining our ecosystems. This immersive experience not only ignited their curiosity but also instilled a profound sense of environmental stewardship and appreciation for the natural world around them.

On January 9, 2025, Twin Cities Roadcrew visited Noble Academy to host an engaging and informative presentation titled "Wise with Waste." This assembly aimed to enlighten K-5 students about the critical importance of recycling, waste reduction, and composting practices. One of the key lessons imparted was that a significant way to minimize waste is by preventing it from being created in the first place. Students were encouraged to adopt sustainable habits, such as using reusable water bottles and shopping bags, as part of their daily routines.

The assembly was not only educational but also interactive, featuring a variety of games and challenges that captivated the students' attention and sparked their enthusiasm. Through hands-on activities and enjoyable experiences, children learned essential skills for making environmentally responsible choices. This experience fostered a sense of community among the students, instilling in them a collective responsibility for caring for our planet through mindful waste management practices.

Noble Academy Hosted a Remarkable Event to Celebrate the New Year

On December 18, 2024, Noble Academy hosted a remarkable event to celebrate the New Year. The entire K-8 student body captivated families with a special performance of “We Are the World.” Our talented K-5 students also showcased Hmong songs learned in their Hmong Culture class. The program featured the after-school dance team, a fashion show highlighting a diverse array of cultural clothing, and much more. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the families who attended this special event, as well as to the staff members who worked diligently to make it possible!

Noble Takes a Creative Approach to Teaching Non-Violence and Self-Defense to Our Students

On Wednesday, December 4, Mr. John Yarwood and Mr. James from Yarwood Martial Arts in Champlin visited Noble to share strategies for building confidence and respect among our students. These strategies are designed to help students navigate various situations effectively. For instance, phrases like "Get back, block, block, leave me alone" can help defuse a challenging scenario, allowing the victim the opportunity to seek assistance from an adult.

The students who attended not only learned valuable new techniques but were also highly motivated and engaged by Mr. Yarwood's dynamic teaching style.
