Experience:
I taught for five years in North Dakota after college. When I moved to Minnesota, I did long-term subbing before working at Noble. I am in my eighth year of teaching at Noble and will be teaching third grade this year. This will be my second-year teaching third grade at Noble.
Reason for becoming a Teacher:
I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was a first grader! My first grade teacher showed our class a love of learning and being kind. I have had many other teachers positively impact my learning experience. I enjoyed being a student and love being a teacher even more!
Interesting Facts and Hobbies:
I am a country girl! I grew up on a farm in rural North Dakota. I love going back home to the farm to see my parents and be surrounded by the quiet! My husband and I moved to St. Paul in 2008 so he could pursue his law degree. My husband Chad and I built a home in Delano seven years ago. Together we enjoy hiking, watching NFL, and traveling. Chad and I have been to a lot of places. Some of our favorite places are Hawaii, Montana, Ireland, Switzerland, Banff, and Whistler. I am always planning our next adventure and what foods we will eat while visiting a new place! I love to run, bike, puzzle, read, cook, bake, eat, travel, and of course teach. A few interesting facts about me are that I hunt deer, puzzles are my thing, and I am an introvert. I go hunting in the fall. It is fun to be outside and spend time with my family. Puzzles rarely puzzle me and I get obsessed with them! Being an introvert, I need a lot of alone time to reenergize myself.
